Rumor has it that Microsoft is developing an iPad version its ubiquitously popular Office software. Quite frankly I’m a little surprised it took them this long to start develop this product. Yeah, we all know they have their own rival mobile OS that could be used on tablets but this seems to make so much business sense.
The iPad is currently the most popular tablet device. Just think about the number of enterprises that are already have and would love to deploy the iPad that already use Office. I bet the return on investment is totally worth it for this new revenue stream.
Rumor also has it that it’ll be priced cheap and competitive with iWork apps at somewhere around $9.99 a piece.
